Medical Laboratory Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Medical Laboratory Technician to perform a diverse range of laboratory procedures using both manual and automated methods. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a commendable degree of independent judgment in the execution and reporting of laboratory results. Participation in ongoing quality improvement activities within the laboratory is also expected.

Responsibilities

• Conduct a variety of laboratory tests and procedures, ensuring accuracy and precision.
• Utilize both manual techniques and automated systems for sample analysis.
• Exhibit independent judgment in evaluating test results and reporting findings.
• Engage actively in quality control and improvement initiatives within the laboratory.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate's Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology, Biological Sciences, Chemistry, or Life Sciences with 26 science credits, or completion of a Military Training Program with relevant experience in a CLIA laboratory.
• Experience: A minimum of 1 year of experience in a relevant laboratory section is preferred.
• Licenses: Certification from the American Society for Clinical Pathology is preferred.
