About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Correctional Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM) Experience: Minimum of 2 years of recent acute care experience in Med/Surg required; correctional experience preferred License: Valid Nursing License required Certifications: BLS required Must-Have: - Experience with isolation precautions and PPE - Proficient in Med/Surg care - Knowledge of peripheral line care and management - Experience in wound care and documentation Description: The position is for a Registered Nurse with a specialty in correctional nursing. The shift is 3x12s, working from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM. There are no block scheduling accommodations available. Every other weekend is required. Requests for time off must not exceed 5 days, with no more than 2 consecutive days. No time off is permitted on holidays or on the days before or after holidays. Floating among units is mandatory and will occur based on facility needs. Candidates may be required to float outside their primary competency at times. Two professional references from recent employers are required prior to the start of the position. Candidates must obtain necessary documentation before beginning the assignment. All resources must comply with deadlines for required items and documentation. Full recredentialing will be required for returning staff. Modules are non-billable and must be completed before the start of the assignment.
