Job Title

Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

Location

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit during night shift hours
• Perform and interpret ECG rhythm recognition as required by the unit
• Administer and manage medications safely in accordance with facility protocols
• Complete orientation assessments including ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate with an acceptable passing score (maximum of 2 attempts permitted)
• Participate in holiday rotation, expected to work at least every other holiday
• Complete required pre-start and annual modules and maintain compliance with all facility education requirements

Required Qualifications

• Active, permanent Ohio RN license or valid Compact state license — must be in hand at time of submission; no pending licenses accepted
• AHA or American Red Cross BLS certification — active and in hand at time of submission
• AHA or American Red Cross ACLS certification — active and in hand at time of submission
• NIH Stroke Scale certification — must be obtained prior to start date
• Minimum of 1 year of permanent experience in Medical Surgical / Telemetry
• Epic EMR experience required
• One professional reference from a manager, Assistant Nurse Manager, supervisor, or director within the specialty, from an assignment worked within the past 12 months — required at time of submission (co-worker references will not be accepted)
• No open background check cases; facility does not accept any license hits
• Local candidates are welcome and accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Telemetry monitoring experience with strong ECG rhythm interpretation skills
• Experience working in a high-volume acute care or health system environment
• Familiarity with medication administration assessment tools and competency-based orientation processes
