Innovation Banking Director

Responsibilities Independently manage a portfolio of tactical clients, with primary responsibility for cross‑sell, return generation, and First Line of Defense. Understand and evaluate complex financial models and perform detailed financial analysis. Create high‑impact presentation materials using PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and other relevant applications. Work well as part of a team in a high‑pressure environment. Develop good working relationships with peers and senior leaders in Corporate Banking and across the organization. Manage priorities while handling multiple high‑priority engagements simultaneously. Apply a strong background in credit and corporate finance to corporate‑finance oriented projects. Serve as direct support to Executive Directors and deliver internal and external presentations supporting Relationship Managers. Mentor and develop staff, including Analysts and Associates. Interact independently with key constituencies throughout the development and delivery of strategic, client‑facing assignments. Assess the suitability of securities products and capital‑markets services for clients, and collaborate with Capital Markets teams to provide those products and services. Minimum Requirements Undergraduate degree required; graduate degree preferred. 7–8+ years of experience in Banking, Investment Banking, M&A or Capital Markets. 4+ years of corporate banking analysis and sales management preferred. Strong corporate finance and credit skills required; underwriting experience preferred. Proven track record of originating and closing complex financial transactions as part of a team. Proven ability to pitch, win, and execute on corporate finance ideas. Excellent oral and written presentation skills. Strong relationship‑building skills and ability to interact effectively with senior executives inside and outside the organization. Required Skills 7–8+ years of relevant work or internship experience in finance, accounting, or a related field. Proven leadership and collaboration skills across matrixed organizations and cross‑functional teams. Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. Strong project management capabilities and ability to lead teams and initiatives. Deep understanding of financial markets, corporate strategy, and client engagement. Ability to synthesize market intelligence into actionable insights and strategic recommendations. Origination & Commercial Impact: identify opportunities, develop pitches, and convert ideas into revenue‑generating engagements. Compensation & Benefits Base salary: $96,500.00 – $207,500.00 USD annually. Eligible for an incentive compensation plan based on company, line of business, and/or individual performance.
