Shift Lead Position Profile The role of the Shift Lead is to perform the duties of a Client Services Coordinator or Vet Assistant when not filling in or assisting the Practice Manager or Chief of Staff in guiding the team to maximize productivity and profitability of the hospital. This position works with the Practice Manager and/or Chief of Staff to ensure effective communication with all clients and internal stakeholders and colleagues. Responsibilities Assist and support hospital leadership in developing an efficient, productive team that provides high quality care and service. Follow Banfield protocols and practices, focusing the team on achieving practice priorities while building culture and brand. Supervise the team on a day‑to‑day basis, ensuring quality medical care, exceptional client service, associate engagement and maximum productivity. Create an environment that fosters quality, efficient, and effective veterinary care to pets and encourages associate engagement. Provide professional, efficient and exceptional client service; educate clients about Optimum Wellness Plans, preventive care, pet health needs, hospital services, marketing campaigns and other related information; resolve client issues. Assist in scheduling associates to meet client needs, proactively planning time off and continuing education scheduling. Ensure compliance with all practice policies and procedures. Ensure adherence to Banfield dress and grooming guidelines. Communicate effectively with all clients and internal stakeholders. Qualifications Availability to work weekend and evening shifts. Comfortable working in an environment with loud noise and strong smells. At least 18 years of age. Minimum of two years of veterinary hospital experience. Strong belief in preventive care as the best and only way to achieve a long and healthy life for each pet. Ability to provide exceptional client and pet experiences. Compensation Pay range: $17.57 - $22.45 per hour. The specific rate is determined based on the candidate’s experience, skill level, and education, and may vary depending on location or applicable minimum wage laws.
