Duties and Responsibilities: Provides technical support and expertise to sales, inside sales, purchasing, service and customers. Reviews customer requirements, project, bid, RFQ specifications, sourcing requirements and application information to determine the best solution(s) for the project. Prepares job quotations including list of products and services, pricing, delivery and freight information. Builds and maintains relationships with manufacturers, suppliers, engineers, contractors, end users and wholesalers. Records in CRM system details of customer interactions or transactions, quotations, inquiries and comments, as well as any actions taken. Assists sales and service teams with seminars, customer training and field start-ups as required. Attends meetings as required to discuss status of outstanding quotes, pending projects and to ensure jobs are completed on schedule.. Acts as back-up for the inside sales team during vacations, absences or peak periods. Performs other related duties as assigned by management. Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree (B.S.) in Engineering from a four-year college or university, or one to two years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and general internet functionality required. Proficiency utilizing Enterprise software preferred (Prophet 21 by Epicor). Training can be provided. Other skills required: Excellent customer service skills with a strong desire to go above and beyond to exceed customer expectations. The ability to accurately assess customer needs, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction. Communicating effectively verbally and in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience. Strong relationship building and networking capability.
