Desktop Support Technician

Position Overview

We are seeking a Tier 2/3 Desktop Support Engineer to provide advanced technical support in a fast-paced enterprise environment. This role will serve as a key escalation point for complex end-user issues while delivering exceptional white-glove support to executives and senior leadership. The ideal candidate will have strong Windows desktop support expertise, modern endpoint management experience, and outstanding communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 support for escalated desktop, laptop, mobile device, and application issues.

• Deliver high-touch, executive-level white-glove support for VIP users and leadership teams.

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex Windows operating system, hardware, software, and connectivity issues.

• Manage and support endpoint deployment, configuration, and lifecycle activities using Microsoft Intune and Windows Autopilot.

• Administer user accounts, access, authentication, and device management within Azure AD / Entra ID.

• Diagnose and resolve issues related to Microsoft 365 applications, identity management, and endpoint security policies.

• Collaborate with infrastructure, networking, and security teams to identify root causes and implement long-term solutions.

• Document troubleshooting steps, resolutions, and support procedures to improve service delivery.

• Participate in technology refresh projects, workstation deployments, and system upgrades.

• Maintain a high standard of customer service while meeting established SLAs and support expectations.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of desktop support experience, including significant Tier 2 and Tier 3 troubleshooting responsibilities.

• Strong experience supporting Windows desktop environments.

• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Intune for device management and endpoint administration.

• Experience deploying and managing devices using Windows Autopilot.

• Strong knowledge of Azure AD / Microsoft Entra ID administration and identity management.

• Experience supporting Microsoft 365 applications and services.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Proven ability to provide executive/VIP white-glove support with professionalism and discretion.

• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting users within law firms, financial services organizations, or higher education environments.

• Experience working in mid-sized to large enterprise organizations.

• Exposure to endpoint security tools, conditional access policies, and modern workplace technologies.

• Familiarity with ITSM platforms such as ServiceNow or similar ticketing systems.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of New York, NY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
