Candidates must have current supervisory references.
Candidates must pass clinical review.
Candidates must have proof of required certifications.
Candidates must function in the role of Baby Nurse during delivery and continue care of newborn until transfer to postpartum.


Description:
We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse specializing in Labor and Delivery.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in high risk and high volume labor and delivery settings.
Experience in fast-paced, high acuity environments is essential.
The nurse will care for patients during labor and delivery, including supporting midwifery clients and private OBs.
Responsibilities include conducting newborn assessments, administering eye drops and vitamin K injections, and providing essential newborn care.
Candidates must be capable of circulating and assisting in both vaginal and cesarean deliveries.
Pre-approved time off may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Work every other weekend and holidays as needed.
Interdisciplinary support available includes respiratory services, social services, and rapid response teams.
Average daily census will be approximately 15 patients, with 500-600 deliveries per month.
Flexible scheduling with posted assignments every six weeks based on unit needs.
Candidates will be required to float between postpartum and antepartum units as necessary.
Specific skills required include amnioinfusion, epidural anesthesia, postpartum hemorrhage management, and neonatal resuscitation.
We follow guidelines to ensure high-quality care for our patients and adhere to established staffing protocols.
