Patient Volume: 23,600 Specialties: Seizures, Respiratory, Gastroenterology Coverage Model: Physicians work 7a-7p and 7p-7a; NPPAs work 12p-12a Number of Beds: 243 EMR: Cerner Qualifications Education: MD/DO with a three-year residency Credentials: Board Certified in ABEM or ABOEM, or ABIM/ABFM Board Certified with EM Experience (plus ACLS, ATLS, PALS, BLS) Experience: emergency medicine residency/ continuous work in the emergency medicine environment. Facility & Clinical Details About Valley Baptist Micro-Hospital - Weslaco: Valley Baptist Micro-Hospital - Weslaco is a community-focused micro-hospital in Weslaco, Texas, operated by Valley Baptist Health System and serving the Mid-Valley region with a mix of emergent and acute medical care. It opened in January 2020 as the first facility of its kind in the Rio Grande Valley, blending emergency services with inpatient care in a smaller, more accessible setting than a traditional full-size hospital. Unlike standalone emergency rooms, this micro-hospital provides a full-service emergency department with multiple beds and trauma bays alongside inpatient beds, enabling doctors and nurses to treat and observe patients who need more than immediate urgent care. Benefits & Compensation Competitive annual compensation package with earning potential at $500k annually for a 120 hours/month commitment.
