This role functions as an integral member of the inpatient cardiology team, providing comprehensive care to hospitalized patients with acute and chronic cardiovascular conditions.Boone Hospital is one of the best hospitals in the nation and the only hospital in mid-Missouri awarded a 5-star rating by CMS. The employees of Boone Hospital are dedicated to serving the mid-Missouri region with the highest standards in patient care.### ## **Overview****Responsibilities:*** Perform comprehensive history and physical examinations on cardiology inpatients.* Evaluate and manage patients with conditions including but not limited to: + Acute coronary syndromes + Decompensated heart failure + Arrhythmias and electrophysiologic disorders + Valvular heart disease + Pericardial disease + Hypertensive emergencies* Develop and implement evidence-based management plans.* Order and interpret diagnostic studies (labs, ECGs, echocardiograms, stress tests, cardiac imaging).* Initiate and titrate cardiovascular medications.* Perform daily rounds and document progress notes.* Provide discharge planning, medication reconciliation, and follow-up coordination.About **Columbia, MO:** our community offers a compelling blend of professional opportunities and quality of life that makes it an ideal place for physicians seeking to relocate.
