About the Role
The Company is in search of a Vice President of Engineering to lead the development of a foundational platform that will enable safe, scalable, and compliant AI capabilities for a large customer base. The successful candidate will be the technical and engineering organizational owner of this platform, with a focus on innovation and flawless execution. This role requires a senior engineering leader with a strong background in software engineering, including experience in crafting low-latency distributed systems, LLMs, and compliance in regulated industries. The VP of Engineering will be responsible for defining the technical direction of the platform, building and leading a high-caliber engineering team, and ensuring that the platform meets its ambitious goals. Collaboration with product, legal, compliance, security, and executive leadership is essential to bring AI capabilities into production responsibly. Applicants for the VP of Engineering position at the company should have a minimum of 13 years of software engineering experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. The role demands a candidate with a proven track record in building systems from scratch, deep knowledge of modern technology stacks, and the ability to make high-stakes technical decisions. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, with an advanced degree or equivalent experience in ML/AI research being a plus. The role is suited for individuals who are passionate about shaping the future of AI in finance and who thrive in a dynamic, startup-like environment.
