At Legacy Community Health, we are searching for a dedicated Pharmacist Training & Development Specialist to nurture our pharmacy team and elevate our training programs to new heights.Role Highlights: Shape the future of our pharmacy department by developing and overseeing comprehensive training programs.Work Environment Benefits: Thrive in a supportive, collaborative setting that values work-life balance and personal growth.Impact and Growth Opportunities: Make a meaningful difference in community health while advancing your career with mentorship and development opportunities.Team Collaboration: Work closely with a team that values relationships, collaboration, and shared success.Mission-Driven Elements: Contribute to a mission that prioritizes quality healthcare for all.Key ResponsibilitiesOnboard pharmacy staff including pharmacists, technicians, and supportive staff following SOPs.Identify knowledge and performance gaps and direct training and quality assurance programs.Maintain employee documentation, competencies, and performance as per regulatory standards.Stay updated on pharmacy practice, 340b, and URAC regulations.Monitor and update policies and procedures to reflect regulatory changes.Design, develop, and execute training programs for all pharmacy service levels.Provide mentorship to new employees and perform performance audits.Assist in disciplinary actions regarding employee performance.Participate in quality improvement projects.Serve as a liaison to student and residency programs with affiliated pharmacy schools.Collaborate with the organization's learning and development department.Perform other duties as assigned.Minimum QualificationsGraduate of an accredited college/university of pharmacy (Pharm.D or B.S. with equivalent experience)Valid license from the Board of Pharmacy of the State of TexasMust maintain First Aid /CPR5+ years of pharmacist experienceCompletion of ASHP accredited PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency certification (desirable)Experience in training and developmentComputer experience Windows, Microsoft Word & ExcelMust be able to manage multiple deadlines and prioritizeAbout Legacy Community HealthAs the largest Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) in Southeast Texas, Legacy Community Health has been delivering comprehensive, high-quality, and affordable health care for nearly 40 years.
