Construction Management Intern

This internship is designed to bridge classroom learning with real‑world construction experience while providing exposure to a variety of career paths within the construction industry. Networking and team‑building events (summer internships only). Internship Overview Assigned to an active construction project with opportunities to visit the office and other job sites. Internship opportunities may be available in the Meridian, ID area or at other project locations throughout ESI's operating regions. Typically working 20+ hours per week during the school year and 40+ hours per week during the summer (schedule dependent on project needs). Mentored by a Superintendent, Field Engineer, Project Engineer, and/or Project Manager with exposure to their responsibilities. Flexible start and end dates based on school commitments and personal schedules. Represent ESI professionally with customers, design teams, city officials, subcontractors, and other project stakeholders. Assist with project planning, coordination, and execution during various phases of construction. Support project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, drawing updates, meeting minutes, and related records. Assist with field operations and coordination of subcontractors and trade partners. Participate in project meetings, jobsite walks, and project‑related problem solving. Gain exposure to bidding, project management, construction operations, project closeout, and warranty activities. Contribute to the success of the project team through a variety of learning and support opportunities. Qualifications Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree, emphasis in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field preferred. Must be within two years, or less, of graduation. Strong interest in building a career in construction, project management, and learning in a hands‑on environment. Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
