Part-time Administrative Assistant II, Recruitment & Admissions

Position Summary This temporary position will last through 06/30/2027. The role is responsible for providing administrative assistance to the Office of Recruitment and Admissions. Compensation $17.83 per hour; up to 29 hours per week. Responsibilities Answer telephone calls, greet visitors, provide general information, explain college admissions policies and procedures, refer to appropriate departments, take messages, and make appointments. Coordinate meetings, set up rooms, and take minutes for departmental meetings. Maintain department files and records. Prepare correspondence and internal memoranda. Provide support to the Director for daily operations and other admission and recruiting functions. Sort and distribute mail. Process Student ID cards for students. Record and distribute meeting minutes. Scan and index admissions documents. Perform related duties as assigned. Knowledge Required Modern office practices and procedures. College and program policies and procedures. Computers and job‑related software programs. Prioritizing and organizing work. Use of office equipment such as computer, scanner, fax machine, and copier. Oral and written communication skills. Minimum Qualifications Knowledge and competency typically associated with specialized training for the field of work, and basic skills associated with a high‑school education. Experience sufficient to understand the basic principles relevant to the major duties of the position, usually associated with an apprenticeship, internship, or similar position for one to two years.
