Position Restructuring Senior Associate, Alvarez & Marsal – Houston Office The Team As a Restructuring & Turnaround Senior Associate, you will work alongside professionals recognized as authorities across industries. Guided by experienced restructuring practitioners, you will drive changes that preserve and create value, impacting the world’s most recognized organizations and their people. How You Will Contribute You will work closely with companies across various industries to help underperforming businesses navigate their restructuring process and create a lasting positive impact on the organization. Responsibilities and Projects Building and managing 13-week cash flow forecasts. Building liquidation analyses to address feasibility of Plans of Reorganization. Working with clients to create long-term business plans, track and manage performance, manage working capital, and implement cost reduction initiatives. Implementing cash conservation strategies and controls. Developing pre-bankruptcy plans and assisting with bankruptcy case administration, including handling creditor constituents and preparing bankruptcy documents. Supporting marketing initiatives by assisting with the pitch preparation process. Leading a work stream within a project and coaching and mentoring junior resources. Qualifications At least 6+ years of work experience in corporate restructuring, investment or commercial banking, and/or consulting or corporate roles with a financial or accounting focus; 4+ years of direct restructuring experience. BA/BS degree and/or MBA/MS in Accounting, Finance, or related analytical fields. Advanced Microsoft Office skills (especially PowerPoint and Word). Professional certifications such as CTP, CIRA, CPA, CFA, or progress toward such certifications preferred. Understanding of the fundamental aspects of Chapter 11 proceedings. Advanced financial modeling experience, including 13-week cash flow forecasts and 3-statement models with limited oversight. Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills; strong verbal and written communication with all levels of client personnel. Benefits and Compensation Regular employees working 30+ hours per week are eligible for Alvarez & Marsal Holdings’ fringe benefits, including healthcare plans, flexible spending and savings accounts, life, AD&D, disability coverages, and a 401(k) retirement plan with discretionary employer contributions where eligible. Paid time off includes vacation, personal days, 72 hours of sick time (prorated for part-time), 10 federal holidays, one floating holiday, and parental leave. Vacation and personal days vary by tenure and role. Salary range: $160,000–$175,000 annually, dependent on qualifications.
