Job Title: Lead Database Administrator/Analyst (DBS) — Database Admin
Location: Columbia, MD hybrid 3 days on site
Duration: Long term
Interview Mode: Phone then Video
Core Duties:
- Manages enterprise databases (z/OS, UNIX, Linux, Windows, cloud); design, architecture, tuning, maintenance, indexing, recovery, optimization.
- Oversee ETL, data warehousing, BI environments, data lake enablement, predictive modeling, fraud analytics, advanced analytical workflows.
- Implements data governance, data quality frameworks, security controls, compliance measures.
- Conducts complex modeling, feature engineering, historical data analysis, operational metrics development, fraud-detection algorithm refinement.
- Supports SSA anti-fraud missions (anomaly identification, risk modeling, real-time transaction screening, integrity reviews).
Required Qualifications:
- 3–5 years DBA or data analytics experience.
- Certifications (any of the following – or other equivalent): MCDBA, Oracle OCP, AWS Database Specialty, Azure Database Administrator.
- Strong experience in SQL, PL/SQL, DB2, Oracle, ETL/BI tools, Hadoop, PostgreSQL, modern analytics stacks.
- Skilled in cloud data platforms, predictive modeling tools, fraud detection systems.
