Job Summary NEW Oak Hill South Freestanding ER opening 2026 (11242 Spring Hill Drive, Spring Hill, FL 34609). The Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high-quality, patient-centered care in accordance with departmental requirements and the scope and standards of practice for the relevant state and specialty. The RN collaborates with medical providers and other members of the care team, and serves as an advocate for patients, families, and caregivers, embodying the organization’s vision, mission, and values to support an unparalleled patient experience and clinical outcomes. Responsibilities Assesses patient pain regularly to promote effective pain management, including reassessments after appropriate intervention. Performs procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider(s). Documents the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner. Performs exceptional care by responding promptly to patient requests. Strives to anticipate patient needs and resolve them proactively. Teaches patients/families/caregivers about patient medical condition, patient status, treatment plan, medications and possible side effects, and follow-up measures. Translates complex medical terminology to ensure complete understanding. Teaches patients/families/caregivers about non-medicinal follow-up measures such as healthy diet, exercise, disease prevention, and lifestyle changes. Prepares patients and families/caregivers for future self-management. Qualifications Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date. Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date. NIH Stroke Scale certification must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date. Nonviolent Crisis Intervention certification must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date. Registered Nurse license. Registered Nurse diploma. Emergency Nurse Pediatric Certificate, PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support, Certified Emergency Registered Nurse (CEN), or Certified Pediatric Registered Nurse (CPEN) certification must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date.
