What You'll Do: As a Medical Assistant II, you'll be a critical part of the care team-supporting medical providers, assisting with both clinical and administrative tasks, and ensuring a seamless patient experience. Your work helps drive quality care, patient safety, and healing for those in recovery. - Prepare patients for exams by gathering medical history and vitals
- Perform phlebotomy, urine drug screenings, and CLIA-waived testing
- Administer injections per provider direction and training
- Assist with prescription management and medication counts
- Support outreach efforts: appointment reminders, re-engagement, and patient follow-up
- Manage lab and PPE supplies, maintain accurate documentation in the EMR
- Collaborate with front desk and lab teams to support daily workflow
- Uphold safety standards, patient confidentiality, and infection control protocols
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a Medical Assistant, Phlebotomy, EMT, or LPN program
- 1+ year experience as a Medical Assistant and in phlebotomy
- Willingness to train on injections if not already proficient
- Experience in behavioral health, billing, or healthcare settings is a plus
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or ability to obtain within 90 days
- Proficient in EMRs and Microsoft Office
- Monday-Friday schedule
