Job Title: OR RN Scrub/Circulator Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day shift Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years as an Operating Room Technician with experience in ophthalmology procedures. License: Not specified Certifications: BLS Must-Have: - Must have experience in cataract and cornea procedures independently. - Must be able to scrub as well as circulate ambulatory surgery procedures. Description: This position involves working in an operating room setting with an average of 22 cases per day. Common procedures include scleral buckle, vitrectomy, corneal transplants, cataracts, minor general surgery, minor spine stabilization procedures, spinal cord stimulators, ENT procedures, and dental surgeries. A call response time of 30 minutes is required for weekdays and weekends, with rotating holiday call obligations. The ideal candidate should be willing to float to other surgical departments as needed. Scrubs will be provided for the role. Weekday call shifts are to be scheduled, with the potential for weekend call requirements every other weekend. It is essential to maintain a response time of 30 minutes for all call requirements. This position does not allow for self-scheduling. Shifts typically start at 6:45 AM and may extend beyond 3 PM in order to complete cases that run over. Candidates will be required to rotate on-call duties.
