Position: Chick-fil-A Back of House Line Cook

Job Summary:

• The Chick-fil-A Back of House Line Cook is responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality food according to Chick-fil-A standards while maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient kitchen environment. This role focuses on food preparation, cooking operations, and ensuring all menu items are consistently prepared to specifications during high-volume service periods.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook Chick-fil-A menu items according to established recipes and brand standards.
• Operate grills, fryers, and other kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
• Ensure food quality, consistency, and accuracy for every order.
• Monitor cooking times, food temperatures, and product freshness.
• Maintain organized and fully stocked workstations throughout the shift.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health department regulations.
• Assist with food prep, inventory rotation, and restocking supplies using FIFO methods.
• Keep kitchen equipment, prep areas, storage areas, and workstations clean and sanitized.
• Work collaboratively with front-of-house and kitchen team members to ensure efficient service.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 1 year of line cook or high-volume kitchen experience required.
• Previous experience working in a fast-paced restaurant environment required.
• Knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and food safety standards.
• Ability to multitask and maintain efficiency during peak service periods.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to food quality.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
• Frequent bending, reaching, twisting, and repetitive motions.
• Ability to work in a hot, fast-paced kitchen environment.
