Responsibilities

• Daily Cleaning & Sanitizing: Perform complete cleaning of ovens, stoves, walls, exhaust hoods, filters, and other kitchen equipment as assigned by the supervisor
• General Kitchen Maintenance: Sweep, mop, and scrub floors; remove food scraps and debris; clean and sanitize countertops, sinks, and appliances
• Waste Management: Empty trash and recycling bins, transport waste to designated areas, and replace liners/lids to maintain sanitary conditions
• Deep Cleaning & Disinfection: Conduct deep cleaning and disinfection of high-touch surfaces (e.g., handles, buttons, light switches) using approved EPA-registered disinfectants
• Equipment Care: Clean and maintain kitchen equipment, ensuring it is in good working order and ready for use
• Special Tasks: Respond to spills, guest requests, or unexpected cleaning needs during overnight shifts
• Restocking & Supplies: Replenish cleaning supplies and restock kitchen areas as needed
• Work in a high-energy kitchen environment, supporting the culinary team in their food preparation and service
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of all kitchen utensils, dishes, and equipment
• Operate dishwashing machinery and ensure proper handling and storage of cleaned items
• Assist with basic food prep tasks, such as peeling, chopping, and portioning ingredients
• Follow safety and hygiene standards to ensure a clean and safe working environment
• Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth workflow and timely service
• Exhibit a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn and grow
• Embrace a teamwork-oriented culture and contribute to a supportive work environment

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar role is a plus, but not required
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle high-pressure situations
• Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
• Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy objects
• Attention to detail and ability to maintain cleanliness and organization in the dishwashing area
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Flexibility to work in different shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Positive attitude and willingness to take on additional tasks as needed
