Staff Accountant

KEY FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES Processes and inputs accounting information on computer and generates required reports. Accurately compiles, processes and inputs information on computer to update company general ledgers and prepares financial statements and other duties as needed as part of month end close. Verifies and reconciles account balances on a monthly basis. Maintains fixed asset records for assigned facilities. Serves as back-up for Accounts Payable Coordinator as needed. Files bank statements, source documents, and reports. Assists in preparation of required government filings. Prepares budget files for assigned facilities. Assists in preparation of the audit. Prepares daily deposits. Performs positive pay for AP and PR checks for all banks. Maintain weekly occupancy reports. Maintain vehicle files including registrations, titles and insurance cards.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Preferred Education: Associate’s degree from 2- year college or technical school Required Experience: 3 years’ experience in billing and accounts receivable Preferred Experience: 1 year experience in a healthcare billing setting
