Facilities Maintenance Technician Job Description:

• Perform general facilities and building maintenance activities
• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
• Diagnose and repair mechanical drive systems including gearboxes, belts, couplings, brakes, bearings, bushings, and sprockets
• Read and interpret electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and building schematics and blueprints
• Troubleshoot, repair, and replace AC/DC motors and associated wiring
• Perform welding, fabrication, pipe fitting, and copper pipe installation as needed
• Complete preventive maintenance and repair work orders using maintenance management systems
• Assist with machine installation, relocation, rigging, and equipment moves
• Maintain a safe work environment by following Lockout/Tagout, PPE, and other safety procedures
• Support facility operations through general building maintenance and repair tasks

Facilities Maintenance Technician Job Requirements:

• Previous experience in industrial maintenance, facilities maintenance, or a related skilled trades role
• Strong troubleshooting skills involving electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems
• Ability to read and understand schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams
• Experience with welding and fabrication preferred
• Knowledge of machine repair, bearings, drive systems, motors, and power transmission components
• Ability to safely use measuring devices, electrical meters, hand tools, and power tools
• Experience with work order management systems preferred
• Forklift and aerial lift experience preferred
• Strong commitment to workplace safety and maintenance best practices
• Ability to lift, move, and position equipment as required
