Locums Neurosurgery Physician

We are seeking a Locums Neurosurgery Physician to join a dedicatedneurosurgical team in Rapid City, South Dakota. This full-time locumsopportunity includes both inpatient and outpatient responsibilities, providingan opportunity to work in a collaborative surgical environment managing complexcranial, spine, and trauma cases. This role offers the chance to work closely with operating roomstaff, hospital teams, and neurosurgical specialists while deliveringhigh-quality care to a diverse patient population. Compensation $5000 Per Shift Extras Generous (above market) hourly rate All travel expenses reimbursed 100%, on top of rate Med-mal and tail insurance covered Personal locums consultant to manage credentialing and scheduling shifts Key Responsibilities Performneurosurgical procedures including cranial, spine, and trauma cases Provideinpatient rounding, admissions, post-operative care, and discharges Conductoutpatient neurosurgery clinic visits and follow-up care Respondto emergency department and inpatient neurosurgical consults Collaboratewith neurosurgeons, OR staff, and multidisciplinary hospital teams Maintainaccurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record system Requirements MDor DO from an accredited medical school BoardCertified or Board Eligible in Neurosurgery ActiveSouth Dakota medical license or ability to obtain Strongclinical skills with the ability to work independently and within a teamenvironment BLSand ACLS certifications required Experiencein neurosurgery, trauma, or surgical critical care strongly preferred Rapid City is located near the scenic Black Hills and iconic MountRushmore.
