Purpose: Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times. A rebar production worker at Nucor Rebar Fabrication will bend, cut, bundle, and load reinforcing steel bars in accordance with customers’ orders. You’ll work with a mentor who will train you on safely using all machinery. Candidates must be able to work in an outdoor environment. Previous work in construction and landscaping is a huge plus; candidates with previous trades experience tend to be successful in the role and may have a significant opportunity for advancement within the organization.
