The Accounting Manager ensures the accuracy and integrity of financial records, compliance with regulations, and the timely preparation of financial reports and monthly journal entries. Key Responsibilities: Financial Management: Execute all accounting operations, including general ledger maintenance, account reconciliation, accounts payable, and accounts receivable. Financial Reporting: Prepare and deliver accurate, timely financial statements, reports, and summaries. Compliance: Ensure adherence to accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies. Coordinate with external auditors during audits. Team Leadership: Mentor and develop hotel leaders in financial literacy, particularly in AR and productivity. Foster a collaborative and productive work environment. Internal Controls: Develop, implement, and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accuracy of financial data. Process Improvement: Identify and lead the evaluation and enhancement of accounting processes and systems, applying best practices to improve efficiency and operational effectiveness. Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analyses to support business decision-making, providing insights and data-driven recommendations. Labor Productivity: Perform weekly reviews of labor standard adherence and validate the accuracy of reported business levels. Qualifications Qualifications: Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred Experience: Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience. Hospitality: Hyatt and/or hotel Accounting experience preferred. Skills: A genuine desire to support others in a fast-paced environment. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and tax laws. Proficiency in accounting software (Oracle preferred) and MS Office Suite, especially Excel. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. Strong leadership and team management skills. Effective written and verbal communication skills. High level of integrity and exceptional attention to detail.
