Labcorp Phlebotomist Float – Newark, NJ Work Schedule: Monday – Friday (Hours vary between 7:00 am–8:00 pm) and rotating weekends 7:00 am–5:00 pm. Job Responsibilities Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups. Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc. Enter patient data accurately and promptly. Process billing information and collect payments when required. Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis. Maintain patient and specimen information logs. Provide superior customer service to all patients. Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary. Travel to additional sites when needed. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma, GED, or equivalent. At least 1 year of experience as a phlebotomist. Preferred Qualifications At least 2 years of phlebotomy experience. Additional Job Standards Phlebotomy certification or completed training program from an accredited agency if work experience is lacking. Proven track record of exceptional customer service. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently or in a team environment. Comfortable working with minimal supervision. Flexibility to work overtime as needed. Able to pass a standardized color blindness test. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and reliable transportation. At least 21 years old. Pay Range $17.75 – $25.00 per hour. Float Incentive Additional $1.00 per hour plus mileage reimbursement. Benefits Staff working 20 or more hours weekly are eligible for comprehensive benefits including Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Staff working less than 20 hours weekly, casual, intern and temporary positions qualify only for 401(k). Staff on a 7 on/7 off schedule receive all benefits except PTO/FTO.
