Position overview Software Full Stack Engineer – Bethesda, MD At T-Mobile, our role provides a competitive base salary and benefits. This position offers an opportunity to work with a team of software engineers to implement and deploy cloud native systems that meet customer requirements. Responsibilities Build the Enterprise Data Warehouse and ETL pipelines used by analytics teams. Understand business functions and reflect them in data. Present analytics and data to teams, advocating for data quality. Modify databases, perform tests, and solve database usage issues, turning raw data into dimensional models. Collaborate with developers to improve applications, interaction, visual design, and establish best practices. Monitor API performance and optimize response time using database techniques. Automate steps of the data pipeline while ensuring data integrity and quality in relational/NoSQL databases. Own design, development, and maintenance of metrics, reports, interactive dashboards using BI software to analyze trends, identify KPIs, and communicate to executives. Integrate third‑party software into the tech stack using APIs or SDKs to automate processes. Research technology implications, perform benchmarking, and articulate solutions for best engineering practices. Document data models, use cases, and pipeline steps to scale knowledge across the organization. Telecommuting is permitted, but applicant must work from the worksite location at least 3–4 days per week. No additional national or international travel is anticipated. Skill requirements Python scripting for data transformation and integration, including ingest, cleanse, reconcile data from ad servers, CRM systems, and databases; leverage AWS Transfer Family. Scheduling and managing ETL workflows using shell scripts, Docker‑based Apache Airflow; ensure reliable execution, monitor metrics, diagnose dependency issues, optimize runtimes. Utilize AWS S3 for staging, Snowflake for warehousing and PostgreSQL for operational storage; perform query optimization, enforce data governance, troubleshoot integrity issues. Design, develop and maintain Tableau dashboards to visualize ad impressions, KPIs, deliver stakeholder‑ready reports on Tableau Server. Use SQL to write, optimize and refactor complex queries in Snowflake and PostgreSQL, tuning performance. Leverage AWS Secrets Manager and other AWS services to secure credentials and enhance data workflows. Experience and Education Master’s degree in IT/Computer Science and over 1 year relevant experience (primary requirement). Bachelor’s degree in IT/Computer Science and over 3 years relevant experience (alternative requirement). Additional Location: Bethesda, MD. Eligible for employee referral program. Minimum age 18.
