Operating Room - Registered Nurse

Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring an Operating Room (OR) for a temporary assignment in Bozeman, Montana. These positions are 8-week contracts with the ability to extend.

Job Title: OR

Location: Bozeman, Montana

Schedule: 7:00AM - 7:00PM x 3

Term: 8-week assignment with the potential for extension

Pay Rate: $62 - $67/hr

Responsibilities for a OR:

Work in a collaborative and cooperative relationship with other members of the health care team

Plan and implement patient and family education

Assess patient needs and initiate appropriate interventions

Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health or situation (Assessment)

Analyze assessment data to determine diagnoses or issues (Diagnosis)

Identify expected outcomes for a plan individualized to the patient or situation

Develop a plan that prescribes strategies and alternatives to attain expected outcomes (Plan of Care)

Implement the identified plan of care

Employ strategies to promote health and a safe environment

Systematically enhance the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice

Attain knowledge and competency that reflects current nursing practice

Evaluate own nursing practice in relation to professional practice standards, guidelines, relevant statutes, rules, and regulations

Interact with and contribute to the professional development of peers and colleagues

Collaborate with patient, family, and others in the conduct of nursing practice

Integrate ethical provisions in all areas of practice

Integrate research findings into practice

Provide leadership in the professional practice setting and the profession

Demonstrate sound judgment, patience, and maintain a professional demeanor at all times

Work in a busy and stressful environment with creativity, problem analysis, and decision making

Work varied shifts as required

Exercise tact, discretion, sensitivity, and maintain confidentiality

Complete assignments accurately, thoroughly, and with minimal oversight

Comply with policies, procedures, protocols, and guidelines related to care for patients with hyperacute and acute stroke

Participate in two hours of initial cerebrovascular disease (stroke) education within one year of hire

Participate in one hour annually of cerebrovascular disease (stroke) education

Maintain current BLS and ACLS certifications

Maintain valid Montana Registered Nurse licensure
