Neonatal Intensive Care Unit - Respiratory Therapist

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Experience:

• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• Experience with Cerner is required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a license (required after submission).

• This role will require floating to multiple units

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >60 miles from facility to be submitted.

• 6 months gap required between for Staff at Program: SimpliFi Program - Baptist Health UAB and no current placement allowed at Program: SimpliFi Program - Baptist Health UAB.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: - First-time travelers allowed with at least 2 years of experience and Cerner or Epic EMR experience. - RRT preferred; CRT considered with at least 2 years of experience. - NICU RT position requires ground transports and Nitric Oxide administration. - Level III NICU experience within the past 12 months.

Preferred Skills/Experience: - Transport experience preferred.

Preferred Credentials: - APLS preferred.

Special Requests: - Up to 7 days off may be approved, excluding provided blackout dates. - Only 1 active application is allowed for the same position (same unit and shift at the same facility). Example: if you apply for day shift, you can also apply for night shift at the same unit and facility, but you cannot apply for another day-shift position on the same unit and facility.

Unit Details: - Level III NICU. - Uses Omnicell, Spacelabs monitors, and PB 840, PB 980, Drager VN500, LTV, and Airvo ventilators. - Free - parking deck

Shift & Scheduling: - Every other weekend. - Voluntary call. - One major and one minor seasonal holiday per policy.

Floating Requirements: - Float to any like unit/patient location; NICU therapists will also work with adults.

7 days maximum time off.
