Details\n \n Work in the IMC Med/Surg unit of a hospital \n Care for a general IMC population including neuro, respiratory, cardiac, and GI patients \n Manage patients with drips and BiPAP support \n Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM \n Full time, 13-week assignment \n Requirements\n \n Active RN license (TX or Compact) \n BLS certification required (AHA only) \n ACLS certification required (AHA only) \n NIH Stroke Scale certification required \n 2 years of related nursing specialty experience preferred \n BSN preferred \n EPIC EMR experience highly preferred \n Additional Information\n \n Provide nursing care using the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation \n Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families \n Administer medications and treatments while monitoring for side effects and effectiveness \n Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided \n Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, families, and caregivers \n Must reside within a 50-mile radius for local candidate consideration \n Previous CHRISTUS Health System employees must be separated for at least 6 months prior to starting a travel assignment \n \n \n American Traveler Job ID P-743912.
