General Manager of Operations - Senior Home Care

Home Instead is seeking an experienced General Manager of Operations to oversee two office locations serving Charleston, Berkeley, and Dorchester counties. We are a growing, high-volume senior care organization looking for a strong operational leader who can drive results, develop managers, and build an accountable, positive workplace culture.

Experience in senior care, home care, or healthcare is strongly preferred.

What You'll Do

• Oversee daily operations across two office locations. (Charleston and Summerville).
• Lead department managers in Client Care, Scheduling, Human Resources, Service Inquiries, and Business Development.
• Hold team members accountable to high performance standards while cultivating a positive, supportive culture built on teamwork, respect, and continuous improvement.
• Implement processes to improve operational efficiency, communication, and service quality.
• Monitor KPIs, including revenue, profitability, client retention, staffing, and caregiver performance.
• Drive business growth while managing operating costs.
• Recruit, coach, and develop strong department leaders.
• Resolve employee performance issues, client concerns, and operational challenges.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, franchise standards, and applicable regulations.

Who We're Looking For

• 3+ years of management experience, preferably overseeing multiple departments or locations.
• Experience in senior care, home care, or healthcare strongly preferred.
• Proven ability to lead teams, manage performance, and drive measurable business results.
• Experience managing budgets, financial performance, and KPIs.
• Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills.
• Ability to remain calm, decisive, and effective in a fast-paced environment.
• A proactive, solutions-oriented leader who takes ownership and follows through.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.

Schedule and On-Call

• Position requires working from and providing oversight to both office locations in a full-time capacity Mon- Friday.
• Must be available to address urgent operational issues outside regular business hours when necessary. It's a 24/7 business with a strong after-hours on-call team. You will need to be available to that team when issues arise that need management support.
