The Role

We are seeking a Store Manager who lives and breathes our values of Confidence, Elegance, Heritage, Individualism, Quality, Timelessness, and Luxury. Charleston, SC is a market that not only serves the local client but also introduces tourists to the Abbey Glass brand and we are looking for a dynamic leader to lead the team, represent the brand, and continue the success we are having in Charleston. You will manage high-touch relationships with our diverse client base—from the young professional building her wardrobe to the well-established woman editing her curated collection—while simultaneously forging strategic partnerships that elevate the Abbey Glass name.

Key Responsibilities

Driving the Business & Market Awareness

• Market Presence: Act as the face of Abbey Glass in Charleston, SC fostering local partnerships and hosting events that support brand growth.
• Charity Donations & Events: Support philanthropy and build partnerships with charitable organizations connected to the Abbey Glass community. 
• See the opportunity in Charleston and strategically impact the business through talent development, visual merchandising, operational excellence and clienting in order to exceed sales goals and KPIs. Analyze trends and pivot strategies as needed to support the needs of the business. 

Client Services & Relationship Management

• Direct Customer Support: Embody hospitality in how you approach issue resolution recognizing the value of each client.
• Client Retention: Cultivate relationships with clients. Keep in mind the lifetime value of a client when approaching issue resolution.
• Personal Styling & Consultation: When clients have questions about fit, fabric, etc., act as a brand ambassador to help clients imagine our pieces in multiple ways, emphasizing functionality, versatility, and "effortless confidence."

Visual Merchandising & Daily Operations

• Visual Excellence: Execute floor sets that tell a story. Understand how light, color, and texture influence the client's journey. Ensure the store is clean, organized and inviting.
• Operational Precision: Maintain a "back-of-house" as organized as the front. Inventory integrity, payroll management, and shipping/receiving should run smoothly.

Team Development

• Cultivate Talent: Recruit, onboard, and mentor a diverse team of brand ambassadors who embody "playful elegance" and deliver high-touch hospitality.
• Performance Coaching: Drive results by setting clear expectations, monitoring KPIs, and providing consistent, actionable feedback to help stylists reach their personal and store sales goals.
• Brand Advocacy & Education: Lead regular training on product knowledge, seasonal trends, and styling techniques to ensure the team can speak confidently to the craftsmanship and versatility of every piece.
• Foster Empowerment: Create an inclusive, high-energy environment that encourages individual growth, reflecting our core value of cultivating confidence within our own team.
• Succession Planning: Identify and develop high-potential internal talent, preparing them for future growth opportunities within the Abbey Glass brand.

Requirements

• Ability to stand and move about the sales floor for extended periods, climb ladders for visual merchandising, and lift/move up to 25–30 lbs (for inventory shipments).
  
• Since Charleston, SC is a high-traffic shopping destination open 7 days a week, we are looking for a leader with availability to work a flexible schedule that includes opening/closing shifts, weekends, and key retail holidays to meet the needs of the business and our clients.
