NICU unit within a hospital setting

Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM

Every other weekend (EOW) rotation required

Floating within the hospital as needed

Cares for neonatal and pediatric patients including high-risk deliveries and NICU transports

Utilizes equipment such as Bubble CPAP, oscillating ventilators, and pressure/volume ventilators

Performs procedures including neonatal intubation, capillary and umbilical blood gases, and chest physiotherapy

Any EMR/charting system experience required

RRT or CRT required

Minimum 2 years of experience required

Travel experience required

NRP certification required

BLS required

ACLS, RRT, and NRP preferred if applicable

Active LA license required at time of submission - license required if applicable

One professional reference required

Trauma Level I and II experience preferred

Provide respiratory care to neonatal and pediatric patients including ventilator management and airway care

Assist with high-risk deliveries and inter-departmental neonatal transports

Perform arterial blood gas draws and interpretation

Participate in a multi-day onsite and virtual orientation including EMR training

Keep holiday RTO requests to a minimum

Former employees must be separated from the facility for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler

Local candidates are not accepted

Candidate's permanent residence must be greater than 50 miles from the facility
