If you enjoy hands-on development across analytics, dashboards, and custom tools, we'd love to hear from you!Position Description: The Operations Research Analyst develops mathematical and statistical models, custom applications, and data-driven products that deliver innovation and efficiency.Minimum/General Experience: 4 years of data science, operations research, and custom application development experienceMinimum Education: Bachelor's degree in quantitative science, computer science, information technology, mathematics or a related fieldEssential Skills/Qualifications:Above average experience developing and applying mathematical and statistical models and operations research techniquesAbove average experience conducting predictive analysis to evaluate alternative courses of actionAbove average experience supporting qualitative and quantitative analysisAbove average experience programming in scripting languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript, Visual Basic for Applications (VBA), R)Above average experience designing, developing, and maintaining custom applications and automation toolsAbove average experience building data-driven dashboards and digital products with the Microsoft Power Platform (e.g., Power Apps, Power BI)Above average proficiency gathering, assembling, cleansing, validating, and analyzing data to produce valid and reliable findingsExperience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePointExperience creating reports, presentations, user manuals, and training guidesExcellent verbal and written communication skillsExcellent ability to work effectively in a team and with stakeholdersExperience supporting a federal agency (preferred)General Physical Requirements needed to perform the essential functions of this job may vary based on the location of the assignment. Assignment Location - Marine Corps Air Station New River, Jacksonville, NCSedentary Work - Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Typing, communicating, repetitive motions. Close visual acuity to prepare and analyze data, view computer monitors and read.
