Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant for a 13-week opportunity located in Washington, MA. This role will primarily be based in a Physiatry clinic, which specializes in rehabilitation and pain management services.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist healthcare providers in delivering high-quality care to patients.
• Perform essential tasks including obtaining vital signs, rooming patients, and recording medical histories.
• Support various clinic services such as nerve conduction studies (NCS), electromyography (EMG) diagnostic testing, and Botox injections for pain management.
• Engage with patients who may require physical assistance due to disabilities.
• Utilize the EPIC charting system for patient documentation and appointment scheduling.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical setting, preferably in Physiatry.
• Experience working with disabled adults is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with healthcare terminology and the EPIC charting system.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Medical Assistant (MA-CS) required.
• Reliable transportation is essential for commuting to the clinic.

Work Schedule

This position requires a 5-day work week, with 8-hour shifts from 08:30 AM to 05:00 PM. Weekend work is not required.

Patient Demographics

The clinic primarily serves adult patients, providing a range of outpatient services.

Additional Information

• Travelers may be required to float between multiple facilities within the state as needed.
• Communication devices may be supplied by the client for work-related duties at no cost.
• All staff must complete mandatory training modules prior to starting and on an annual basis.
