Unit: ICU / ICU Flex Pool (Intensive Care Unit, critical care) Start Date: May 5, 2026 End Date: August 3, 2026 Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM), every other weekend and every other holiday required Hours per Week: 36 (guaranteed) Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,040 – $2,150 (estimated travel nursing pay) Job Requirements / Qualifications Active RN license (Iowa or compact state) — Registered Nurse (RN) required Minimum 1 year of recent ICU experience as a critical care RN Current BLS and ACLS certifications required Critical Care RN (CCRN) certification preferred Ability to float within the ICU Flex Pool as needed Compliance with onboarding health and competency requirements (immunizations, drug screen, background check) Responsibilities Provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care to critically ill patients in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and responses to treatment using established ICU protocols Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (physicians, respiratory therapy, pharmacists) to develop and implement patient care plans Administer medications, manage ventilators, titrate vasoactive drips, and perform advanced ICU clinical procedures as needed Educate patients and families on care plans, progress, and discharge instructions Maintain a safe, compliant, and supportive environment for patients and staff in a fast-paced critical care setting Apply now to join our Des Moines healthcare team as a Travel ICU RN.
