**Exciting Opportunity for a Cardiac Sonographer!** **Job Description:** - **Position:** Full-Time Cardiac Sonographer - **Shift:** Day Shift (7:00 am - 3:30 pm, Monday to Friday, with Fridays required) **Why You’ll Love This Role:** - Perform essential clinical adult cardiac ultrasound diagnostic procedures (echocardiography) - Assess both basic and advanced cardiac anatomy and pathophysiology - Create preliminary reports for interpretation by a cardiologist - Work in a dynamic environment that encourages learning and professional growth **Minimum Qualifications:** - Associate Degree in Cardiovascular Technology from a CAAHEP program or Health Science Program - American Heart Association BLS certification - Current Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) - Six (6) months of clinical training in cardiac ultrasound or comparable experience **Preferred Qualifications:** - Two (2) years of post-graduation cardiac ultrasound experience - American Heart Association ACLS certification **Essential Job Functions:** - Perform routine and advanced echocardiography procedures, including: - Two-dimensional echo - Stress echo (pharmacological and traditional) - Transesophageal echo - Emergent echo procedures - Learn and apply advanced echo techniques such as 3D and strain imaging - Utilize ultrasound enhancing agents (UEAs) as clinically necessary - Provide echocardiography services across various locations as needed - Keep all equipment in optimal working condition with routine maintenance - Evaluate patients’ electronic medical records for pertinent information - Prepare concise preliminary reports for cardiologist review - Participate in professional education, quality improvement projects, and accreditation processes **Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:** - Strong professional demeanor with sound judgment - Exceptional verbal and written communication skills - Ability to handle a fast-paced and stressful environment - Proficiency in current computer applications and office equipment - Excellent time management and organizational skills **Schedule Requirements:** - Regular and sustained attendance required - Flexibility to work beyond standard hours, including weekends and on-call shifts as necessary **Physical Requirements:** - Lifting (rarely up to 30 pounds) - Sitting continuously, with occasional standing and walking - Ability to bend, stoop, twist, and reach as necessary **Exposure Risks:** - Minimal exposure to bloodborne pathogens and infectious diseases **Why Catalytic Solutions (CatSol):** At CatSol, we connect dedicated therapists with rewarding assignments across the country.
