Assistant Track and Field Coach Location: US-UT-Logan Position Type: Benefited Full-Time Requisition ID: 2026-10448 # of Openings: 1 Overview Utah State University is seeking applications for the position of Assistant Track & Field Coach with experience in multis, throws, and jumps. Responsibilities Assist head coach in identifying and recruiting athletically and academically qualified student‑athletes. Assist head coach in preparing student‑athletes for competition. Demonstrate strong support for the academic mission of the university and NCAA by coordinating with academic services to monitor the academic progress of student‑athletes. Act as a liaison to assigned athletic department and university entities. Other duties as assigned by head coach. Responsibilities also include adherence to and promotion of NCAA rules and compliance to staff, student‑athletes and representatives of athletics interest; successful completion of NCAA recruiting exam, team building, and community and public relations. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree required plus experience that demonstrates an excellent knowledge of the techniques and strategies of the sport of track & field Candidate should have successful recruiting experience and have knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations Must pass the NCAA recruiting test upon hiring or have already passed it for the upcoming year Candidate must possess strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills Preferred Qualification: Experience as an assistant collegiate coach Advertised Salary: Commensurate with experience, plus excellent benefits. ADA: The environment and physical requirements may change depending on the specific function of the work each department performs. Incumbents may be in both indoor and outdoor environments. Indoors, in an office space, event space, or public space are protected from weather conditions, but not necessarily from temperature changes. Incumbents may nearly continuously sit and often use repetitive hand motion (such as typing). Outdoors, incumbents may not be protected from weather conditions and may be exposed to extreme heat and extreme cold.
