Associate, Membrane Protein Biochemistry What you will do In this vital role you will purify polytopic membrane protein (MP) targets into stable formulations with detailed analytical characterization to advance large- and small-molecule therapeutic discovery programs and develop MP platforms. Key Responsibilities Purify membrane proteins (MP) on small to large-scale (KTA systems) and apply quality-focused analytical methods such as HPLC/UPLC to characterize deliverables. Rigorously record experimental work in the electronic laboratory notebook (ELN) and prepare specification documents (e.g., SOPs) and technical reports to promote quality, compliance and best practices. Organize and report findings to support membrane protein deliverable handoffs. Be an excellent team player who is highly motivated by cross-functional collaboration. Additional responsibilities may include expression of membrane proteins in native and heterologous cell lines. Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in life sciences. Or Associates degree and 2 years of relevant scientific experience. Or high school diploma / GED and 4 years of protein purification and/or protein analytics experience. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a relevant scientific discipline. Familiarity with protein purification fundamentals and techniques. Strong communication skills and demonstrated ability to multi-task and work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
