Contract: 9 weeks with strong possibility of extension
Schedule: Day Shift | Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Guaranteed hours per week: 40.00
Pay: Local: $2600 & Travel: $2800
Job Summary
Pride Health is seeking an experienced X-Ray Technologist for a contract opportunity with a leading healthcare organization in New York, NY. The X-Ray Technologist will perform diagnostic imaging procedures while ensuring patient safety, quality imaging standards, and excellent patient care.
Responsibilities
• Perform diagnostic radiologic procedures and produce high-quality images for interpretation
• Prepare and position patients for X-ray examinations
• Operate radiologic imaging equipment safely and efficiently
• Maintain radiation safety standards for patients and staff
• Document patient care and completed exams accurately in department records
• Monitor radiographic quality and make necessary adjustments as needed
• Ensure imaging equipment is maintained and functioning properly
• Follow infection control, safety, and regulatory compliance guidelines
• Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams
• Maintain inventory of radiology supplies and equipment
Requirements
• Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Radiologic Technology
• Active New York State Radiologic Technologist License (L.R.T.) required
• ARRT Certification required
• Strong knowledge of diagnostic imaging procedures and radiation safety
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Strong organizational and patient care skills
