Travel Respiratory Therapist - Registered RT/RRTAmerican Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist with 2+ years of experience for a night shift hospital position requiring RRT, BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications.Work in a hospital respiratory care unitNight shift schedule with 3 shifts per week at 12 hours per shiftPerforms intubations, ventilator management, and airway management for critical care patientsConducts arterial blood gas evaluations and adjusts respiratory equipment parameters accordinglyUtilizes specialized ventilator modes such as pressure-regulated volume control (PRVC)Active RRT credential through the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)Current North Carolina Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license required if applicableBLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications requiredMinimum 2 years of experience requiredPALS certification preferredExperience in adult critical care and pediatric/neonatal care settings preferredAdministers respiratory patient care under physician direction in collaboration with an interdisciplinary care teamEducates patients on bronchodilator usage, CPAP equipment, COPD management, and asthma symptom controlAdministers aerosol medications, oxygen therapy, and other standard respiratory care componentsMonitors intubated patients continuously and performs spontaneous breathing trials to support ventilator weaningTests respiratory equipment and guides patients through breathing exercisesHours per week: 36Hours per shift: 12
