NOW HIRING – Direct Support Professional (Part-Time)

Eau Claire, Wisconsin

Seeking caring, dependable, and responsible individuals to provide direct support to a 40-year-old man with Angelman syndrome who lives independently in his own apartment in Eau Claire, Wisconsin.

This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who enjoys making a meaningful difference by supporting an individual in maintaining independence, participating in community activities, and enhancing quality of life.

Responsibilities include:

• Assisting with supportive home care and personal care needs.

• Providing companionship and encouraging participation in community activities.

• Assisting with meal preparation, light housekeeping, and household organization.

• Providing  transportation to community activities.

• Following the individual's support plan while promoting dignity, choice, and independence.

• Completing required documentation.

Schedule

• Part-time position available.

• Primary shift:  Every other weekend Sundays: 3:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.,  with the possibility of additional hours.

• Fill-in and substitute shifts may also be available.

Qualifications

Applicants must:

• Be at least 18 years of age.

• Possess a valid driver's license and maintain an acceptable driving record.

• Be dependable, reliable, and able to work independently.

• Successfully complete a background check.

• Experience supporting individuals with disabilities is welcome but not required. Paid training will be provided.

Compensation

• Starting wage: $16.00 per hour
