Description

American Traveler is hiring an MRI Technologist with 2+ years of experience and NY licensure (if applicable) for a 13-week acute care assignment

Details

• . Adult acute care hospital setting
• MRI Tech unit
• 3x12-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday, 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM
• Uses Siemens Espree 1.5T MRI large bore system and BRACCO power injector
• Candidates will be required to float
• Epic EMR experience preferred

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of MRI Technologist experience required
• Current BLS certification required
• NY state license required if applicable
• Experience with abdominal, pelvic, head, neck, chest, spine, and musculoskeletal MRI imaging
• Proficiency with MRA, MRV, MRCP, and thoracic MRA studies
• Skilled in gradient echo imaging, spin echo imaging, MIP, and multiplanar reconstruction
• Experience with T1 and T2 weighted imaging and surface coils
• Competent in isolation precautions/PPE, contrast media preparation and administration, and starting peripheral IVs
• Experience with spinal trauma imaging

Additional Information

• Perform MRI imaging across abdomen, pelvis, head, neck, chest, spine, and musculoskeletal regions
• Prepare and administer contrast media and start peripheral IVs as needed
• Follow isolation precautions and PPE protocols
• No color requirement for scrubs, and scrubs are not provided
• First-time travelers will be considered if they have significant experience
• Must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for the position
• Returning staff must wait 6 months system-wide before reapplying
