Emergency Room - ER RN - Travel Nurse TotalMed We’re looking for Emergency Room (ER) RNs for an immediate travel nurse opening in Decatur, TX. The right RN should have 1‑2 years recent acute care experience. Responsibilities Work with a diverse team of caregivers to evaluate, triage and implement care using correct procedures and physician instructions. Provide minor medical operations, advise patients and families on illnesses or injuries, and plan long‑term care needs. Document medical history, check for allergies, obtain patient vital signs, and monitor patients’ emotional and physical well‑being. Perform basic bedside care, clean and bandage wounds, provide IV therapy, maintain supplies and medical equipment. Report suspected abuse to appropriate agencies. Qualifications ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIH, ENPC, TNCC certification (or additional certifications may be required before assignment). 1 year of recent acute care experience. Ability to stand and walk for long periods, lift up to 20 pounds (lifting up to 50 pounds may be required). Good stress‑management skills and ability to relate to people of all ages and backgrounds.
