Together, we're improving health and improving lives.LabCorp is seeking a Clinical Lab Technologist to join our team at CSM Hospital Ozaukee in Mequon, WI.Work Schedule: 3rd shift; Week 1: 9:00PM - 7:30AM 4 10-hour shifts. Week 2: 9:00PM - 7:30AM 3 10-hour shifts. Every other weekend rotation and holiday rotation.Job Responsibilities:Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteriaPerform routine and complex technical procedures and functions according to departmental Standard Operating ProceduresMonitor, operate and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionalityDemonstrate the ability to make technical decisions regarding testing and problem solving.Prepare, test and evaluate new reagents or controlsReport accurate and timely test results in order to deliver quality patient carePerform and document preventive maintenance and quality control proceduresIdentify and replenish testing bench supplies as necessaryAssist with processing of specimens when neededMaintain a safe work environment and wear appropriate personal protective equipmentMinimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in a Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology1 year or more of clinical laboratory testing experience OR an MLS degreePreferred Qualifications:1 year or more of experience as a Medical Laboratory Technologist generalist (hematology, coagulation, and urinalysis)1 year or more of experience in blood bankASCP or AMT certificationAdditional Job Standards:In lieu of education requirements listed above, non-traditional degrees with applicable science credits that meet CLIA standards may meet education requirementAbility to work independently and within a team environmentFamiliarity with laboratory information systemsProficient with computersHigh level of attention detail along with strong communication and organizational skillsAble to pass a standardized color blindness testFlexibility to work overtime or other shifts depending on business needsAt Labcorp we have a passion in helping people live happy and healthy lives.
