Manager of Sales & Operations

We're looking to fill a client's need for this role:
What You'll Do
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of Account Executives and carrier sales/ops coordinators
- Oversee carrier sourcing, rate negotiation, and shipment execution across assigned lanes and markets
- Drive customer acquisition, strategic account growth, pipeline management, and retention
- Monitor and report on key KPIs: revenue growth, gross margin, carrier capacity, on-time performance, and service exceptions
- Build scalable sales and ops workflows, scorecards, and performance accountability standards
- Represent the company in customer meetings, carrier relationships, and industry networking
What We're Looking For
Required:
- 5+ years of freight brokerage, transportation sales, or logistics operations experience
- 2+ years in a sales leadership, carrier ops leadership, or team management role
- Proven exposure to both the sales side (pipeline, AE management, margin performance) and the carrier/ops side (capacity sourcing, rate negotiation, exception management)
- Strong leadership, coaching, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume brokerage environment
Preferred:
- Experience with Revenova, DAT, Truckstop, and CRM/reporting tools
- Background building sales processes, sales scorecards, and carrier performance tools
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, or Transportation — or equivalent experience
