Job Title: Registered Respiratory Therapist Profession: Respiratory Therapy Specialty: Pediatric/Neonatal Respiratory Therapist Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-Hour Days Hours per Shift: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP Must-Have: Experience working in Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) and/or Level 4 or greater Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Description:
RT traveler for the department.
Administer 20-25 treatments per day.
Certifications include BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP.
Preferred certification is RRT, CRT is acceptable.
Must be experienced with Pediatric and Neonatal patients.
Primary areas of coverage include NICU and PICU.
Duties include all aspects of respiratory care.
Key responsibilities include aerogen, Volara, cough assist, IPV, NAVA, Hamilton, and Servo ventilators, airway management, and intrahospital transport.
Assist with intubation as needed.
Manage patient care with a team of eight respiratory therapists per shift.
Preference scheduling allowed with a commitment of six weekend shifts per four-week schedule.
Dress code includes stone/light gray scrubs.
Experience with Hamilton and Servo ventilators, Respironics and Hamilton BiPAP, and Fisher Paykel high-flow therapy required.
Clientist or intensivist will be in-house.
Specific departmental orientation will be provided based on previous experience.
