Charlotte, NC (Uptown) - Hybrid (3-days)

WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT

Owns the future-state data platform strategy as the organization moves toward consolidating on Databricks in AWS
Helps establish the architecture and governance needed to support reliable reporting, analytics, and AI use cases
Partners across disconnected business units and ERP environments to create a more connected data foundation
Balances strategic platform leadership with hands-on technical execution, including direct work inside the Databricks environment
Provides leadership for the broader data ecosystem, likely including future alignment with pipeline integration resources

THE BACKGROUND THAT FITS

Deep hands-on experience in Databricks, including architecture, governance, implementation, and platform management
Experience standing up or modernizing enterprise data platforms in complex, multi-system environments
Strong understanding of data architecture, transformation lifecycles, medallion architecture, and platform connectivity
Ability to lead and grow a team of Data Engineers
Ability to enable AI use cases through a well-structured, scalable data foundation
Background in HVAC, field services, PE-backed platforms, multi-site businesses, or other service-based industries would be highly valuable
