Our Caregivers provide personal care, transportation, and support services to clients enrolled in a Comfort Keepers Personal Care Program. At Comfort Keepers, caring is at our core. While our caregivers are elevating the spirit of our clients every day, we’re here to elevate your spirit and give you the support you need as a caregiver.Our ideal Caregiver has previous experience caring for seniors and/or the disabled. He or she must have basic math and computer skills, good communication skills in English, and reliable transportation. Applicants must show satisfactory completion of any stated mandated training, testing, and certifications/licenses; must be bondable; and must be able to pass the required training and orientation program and all background checks. Retirees are encouraged to apply.BENEFITS:Many Different SchedulesPay Based on Experience/TrainingFree CPR/First Aid training and re-certificationMonthly Paid TrainingDouble Pay for Holidays Worked (for specific clients)Medical, Dental, Vision, and Life InsuranceSimple IRA Available After 1 Year (Must Meet Minimum Requirements)Vacation PaySick PayRESPONSIBILITIES:Successfully complete the Comfort Keepers new-hire orientation program and pre-assignment trainingAccept responsibility for continuous learning and adherence to Comfort Keepers policies and proceduresFunction competently in the home setting with minimal direct supervisionMaintain satisfactory relationships with clients, their family members, and Comfort Keepers administrative staffFollow spoken and written instructions and documents services provided, as requiredShow a sincere desire to assist others and uphold the highest moral principles of honesty and integrityPerform duties as assigned on the client’s Plan of CareHelp clients with activities of daily living by providing any of the Comfort Keepers approved personal care activities, including, but not limited to, bathing, transferring (Hoyer Lift), dressing, toileting, grooming, oral hygiene, and/or ambulationProvide a clean, safe, and healthy environment for clients by completing light housekeeping tasks including laundry and changing the bedHelp client meet nutritional needs by planning and preparing meals, grocery shopping, and cleaning dishes and kitchenHelp the client with ambulation/transfers as specified in the Plan of CareRemind the client to take self-administered medicationsObserve and report any changes in the client’s mental, physical, or emotional condition or home situation to immediate supervisorParticipate in in-service and continuing education programs, staff meetings, and client conferences as requested by immediate supervisorComplete required documentation/electronic recording of services delivered and submits to office in a timely manner according to policy (i.e. money handling receipts, mileage, tasks, clocking in and out, etc.)Use equipment and supplies safely and properly, which includes using proper body mechanics.Maintain confidentiality regarding client informationPerform other tasks as assignedWith Comfort Keepers, you bring the caring heart, and we bring the training.
